The disappearance of journalist Jamal Khashoggi has the world in an uproar. The man was reportedly tortured, murdered, and even dismembered after entering a Saudi Arabian consulate in Turkey. Since the incident, a report of a chilling audio recording has been revealed, which supposedly chronicles the man’s entrance into the consulate all the way to his death.
Previously, some believed that one of the sources of the audio recording was from Jamal’s Apple Watch, reported the Inquisitr. The theory was that his watch recorded the incident and synced up with his iPhone via Bluetooth. The phone was purportedly in his fiancee’s possession at the time of his death, as she had accompanied him to the consulate but waited outside.
Pastor Andrew Brunson, the preacher who was recently freed from Turkish detention, has asked God to grant President Donald Trump supernatural wisdom, according to White House reporter for the Associated Press, Zeke Miller. Miller made the report via a tweet on October 13.
As The Inquisitr previously reported, Brunson’s release is considered a “big win” for the Trump administration. There were reports of tenuous negotiations for the pastor’s release which undermined the diplomatic relationship between the United States and Turkey, a key US ally in the Middle East.
According to Al Jazeera, the pastor was arrested in 2016 after a failed coup attempt in Turkey. Authorities claimed that he had ties to Fethullah Gulen, the man who was blamed for orchestrating the attempted uprising against President Erdogan. Gullen currently resides in the U.S.
There were also claims that Brunson was spreading Christianity to Kurdish communities in an attempt to unseat Erdogan.
A Wisconsin man will be in jail for the next two decades after he was convicted of spiking his pregnant girlfriend’s drink with an abortion pill in an attempt to cause miscarriage.
According to Associated Press, 45-year-old Manishkumar Patel was sentenced in Outagamie County on Tuesday, Oct. 9, to spend 22 years in prison.
This will be will be followed by four years of extended supervision for an attempted first-degree intentional homicide of an unborn child.
Patel was convicted for slipping a drug known to terminate pregnancy into his girlfriend’s smoothie in 2007. The woman, with whom Patel already had another child, did not drink the spiked beverage.
Outagamie County District Attorney Melina Tempelis said in court that the woman instead sent the drink to a California laboratory for testing. Results showed that the drink was positive for the abortion pill RU486, a progesterone blocker that can end a pregnancy at less than 10 weeks.
North Korea is under international sanctions but this did not prevent its leader, Kim Jong-Un, to arrive in a meeting with the U.S. secretary of state in a $400K luxury car.
According to The Telegraph, the North Korean dictator arrived for a working lunch with U.S. secretary of state Mike Pompeo in a new Rolls Royce on Sunday.
The jet-black Phantom Rolls-Royce has darkened windows and features the distinctive logo of the car’s brand on the wheel hubs.
It isn’t clear how the car would have been transported to Pyongyang since this is a violation of the United Nations’ sanctions against North Korea.
The sanctions prohibit the sale of luxury goods, which include luxury automobiles and motor vehicles, to the North Korean government.
North Korea is sanctioned under multiple UN Security Council resolutions because of its nuclear weapons program.
The black Rolls Royce Phantom limousine, which was likely delivered from China, costs at least $400,000.

Police forces in Savannah, Georgia are on the lookout for the culprit behind a vandalized statue of a Revolutionary War general with googly eyes according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
While it might look funny, law enforcement and city officials are taking the matter very seriously.
In the state of Georgia, defacing, defiling or mutilating a grave marker, monument or memorial devoted to a deceased individual who served in the military can be considered criminal trespass, which is a misdemeanor offense.
However, if the damage is more than $500, it will turn into a felony, criminal damage to property.
The statue is a monument to Nathanael Greene, a major general in the Army during the Revolutionary War, at his burial site in Johnson Square.
While he never fought in Georgia, his leadership and innovative strategies helped the state free themselves from British rule. Greene also moved to Georgia with his family after the war, but he died of heat stroke shortly after in 1786.
A young mother fell to her death while trying to take a selfie from a 27th-floor balcony, and the disturbing incident was all caught on video.
The incident took place in Panama City, where 27-year-old Sandra Maneula De Costa Macedo was trying to take a selfie from the Luxor Tower high rise. As Hollywood Life noted, the woman was near a ledge trying to take the photo when she was hit by a gust of wind and blown from the building. Some nearby construction workers had seen her near the edge and tried to yell to warn her, but the woman did not hear their cries, the report noted.
An alt-right rally in Portland billed as a march for “law and order” descended into anything but on Saturday night, as “Patriot Prayer” protesters and counter-protesters brawled and even attacked one another with bear spray, The Oregonian is reporting. Several counter-protesters also burned the American flag.
Joey Gibson is a leader of the Portland branch of the “Patriot Prayer” movement. Last week, he says, a Portland march against police brutality descend into chaos, as Portland cops took a “hands-off” approach to the demonstration. At one point during the demonstration, as reported by the Inquisitr, protesters clashed with an elderly driver, and video emerged showing protesters shouting obscenities at a wheelchair-bound woman. The woman had asked the protesters to stop using their megaphone because it was hurting her ears.
Blake Fischer, a Fish and Game Commissioner in the state of Idaho, faces calls for his resignation this weekend after he circulated a grisly photo of himself grinning as he posed with the dead bodies of four baboons he says that he killed with a bow and arrow on recent guided hunting expedition in the African country of Namibia, according to a report by The Idaho Statesman newspaper.
Fischer circulated that photo to a private email list that included other Fish and Game commissioners, along with the comment, “So I shot a whole family of baboons,” according to the Statesman report. Fischer owns a business that manufactures archery equipment and who says his political priority is to turn children into “lifelong hunters,” his official biography on the Idaho Department of Fish and Game website says.
Tensions are rising between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia, as Donald Trump threatened the latter with “severe punishment” should the allegations about Jamal Khashoggi’s murder turns out to be true. The reports are based on surveillance footage that was somehow recorded and obtained of the incident, and Trump is reportedly going to review the information “soon,” detailed USA Today.
There has been some confusion over where the recordings came from. Turkish outlets reported that the audio recordings were made by Jamal himself, using an Apple Watch. However, since those reports came out, many have pointed out flaws in the story, as detailed by the Inquisitr. Rather, some wonder if Turkey is making these false claims in order to avert attention away from the possibility that the surveillance footage was obtained through secret, planted devices at the Saudi Arabian consulate. Considering that the alleged murder took place at the Saudi consulate in Turkey, this scenario is possible.
Kirby Evans, a cancer survivor from South Carolina who lost his left eye and nose while fighting the disease, was reportedly embarrassed to the point of tears after a gas station convenience store owner allegedly asked him to cover his face or leave the establishment.
In a Facebook post, the cancer survivor’s daughter, Brandy Evans, explained on Tuesday what had happened on the day prior, as her father entered a Forks Pit Stop in Walterboro, South Carolina to buy some donuts and a drink, but was prevented from taking a seat to consume his snack. Brandy alleged that the store’s owner grabbed her father by the shirt and took him to her office, where she gave him an ultimatum if he wanted to eat inside the store.
“She told him, ‘IF HE WAS GOING TO EAT IN HERE HE WOULD HAVE TO COVER HIS FACE!!’ He left and went home in tears to tell me what happened.”
Heavyweight boxing champion Deontay Wilder has apologized for hitting the ESPN Spanish language station’s mascot with a fierce right hook, breaking the jaw of whoever was wearing the costume. What was supposed to be an amusing moment turned scary as instead of jabbing the mustached man, Wilder flattened him, allegedly not realizing that there was a real person in the costume.
The Daily Mail says that Deontay Wilder continued to think that the whole thing was a joke, but apologized anyway just in case, inviting the man to his December first fight to make amends for the knockout.
“Yea, Anything headlining I didn’t know a “Human Being” was in there is just straight ‘Click Baiting.’ Like come on now, I guess the Mascot rolled out there. show so [sic] respect! I sincerely apologize to the brave man that was injured (if this is true). ”
A bowling alley employee was attacked and had a bowling ball smashed on his head after asking an unruly group to leave, police in Michigan say.
The incident took place this week in Roseville, where police say an employee at Apollo Lanes spoke to a group of patrons who were causing a disturbance and asked them to leave. As the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported, the group surrounded the man, who was standing behind a counter.
Video of the incident showed what appeared to be a verbal altercation escalating and someone in the group throwing an object at the man, and then another member began throwing punches. Another one of the attackers joined in, first picking up a stool and hitting the man over the head before lifting a bowling ball over his head and crashing it down onto the back of the employee’s head. The man fell to the ground, and several other members of the group then began kicking and punching him.
A recent report reveals former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, who committed suicide while behind bars last year, was sexually assaulted while he was a child. Aaron was serving a life sentence with no chance of parole for killing his friend Odin Lloyd back in 2013 when he took his own life.
An investigation by The Boston Globe in the first installment of a six-part series about Aaron contained information from interviews, court records, government records, text messages, and emails that revealed the sexual assault as well as many other shocking and disturbing details about the former NFL player’s childhood.
The report reveals both Aaron’s brother, Jonathan, and one of his lawyers, George Leontire, gave statements confirming the former NFL player had been molested as a child. Neither Aaron’s brother nor his lawyer, however, were willing to say who the predator was.
Two of the week’s biggest stories came together in one place Saturday night. Former United States Ambassador to the United Nations — Nikki Haley — attended the broadcast of Saturday Night Live (SNL) that featured a skit that poked fun at Kanye West’s appearance in the Oval Office of the White House this week. Journalist Zach Everson posted a Twitter message containing a photo of Haley in attendance. She posted the photo to her Instagram account, but didn’t comment on the content of Saturday’s SNL broadcast.
A woman who called police on a black man who was babysitting two white children told a 911 operator that she had a “funny feeling” about him, newly released audio shows.
The incident took place this week in Georgia, where 27-year-old Corey Lewis was babysitting two siblings and had taken them to a Walmart. A white woman saw the black man and thought it was suspicious to see him with the two young white children, so she called police. As NBC News reported, audio of her call to 911 has now been released and showed that the woman believed the man could have been abducting the children.
“Hi there, I’m in the Walmart parking lot at Barrett Parkway and I just got my nails done and I see this black gentleman with these two little white kids and so I just had a funny feeling,” the unidentified woman said in audio released by news station WSB-TV.
Anthony Mancinelli has had plenty of time to hone his craft as a barber — nearly a century, to be exact.
The 107-year-old man started working as a barber when he was 11-years-old, and still works 40 hours a week at a small barbershop in his home about an hour north of New York City. Mancinelli, who was featured this week in the New York Times for his amazing longevity and his vibrancy at an age when most people — if they’re still among the living — have been retired for at least four decades or more.
Mancinelli was already honored by Guinness World Records for being the world’s oldest barber back in 2007, and has now worked another decade after the honor. The owner of the barbershop, Jane Dinezza, said patrons are shocked to learn Mancinelli’s age.
Roy Clifford Bebout, a man from Mount Vernon, Indiana, is behind bars after his alleged victim escaped a kidnapping attempt before reporting him to local authorities. The 46-year-old was picked up and booked just before 4 a.m. on Saturday, at the Vanderburgh County Jail. His is currently being detained with no bond.
According to the Indy Star, Bebout is facing a slew of felony charges — battery by strangulation, battery with a deadly weapon, criminal confinement while armed, and kidnapping while armed. The suspect does have a criminal history of sexual violence, and is currently on the Posey County sex offender registry as a “violent sexual predator.”
At the time of the altercation, Bebout was out on probation after being sentenced to 45 years for a kidnapping and rape case back in 1998. According to Vanderburgh County circuit court records, Bebout was convicted by Judge David D. Kiely of kidnapping, criminal deviate conduct, and rape.
A mountain bike cyclist has been shot and killed by a hunter as he cycled through the French Alps. Marc Sutton, 34, is believed to have been killed instantly.
According to the Mirror, Sutton was speeding through thick woodland near Montriond in the fading light of October 13 when he was shot. The incident occurred sometime between 6 and 7 p.m. yesterday, and it is believed that the cyclist was “mistaken for a fast-moving animal” by the hunter. Sutton was struck by a single bullet and died at the scene.
A man in Boca Raton, Florida taking a smoke break witnessed an epic battle to the death between two local wildlife dwellers — a raccoon and a green iguana. The man also captured the violent encounter on a 37 second video that has since gone viral, reports the New York Post.
In the footage, you can see that the two creatures are obviously not pals, perhaps because iguanas are an invasive species and the raccoon is not happy with the lizard and his kind moving into his territory. Then again, the raccoon may just be looking for a quick meal. After all, raccoons are opportunistic and omnivorous eaters.
The footage starts out with a raccoon chasing after the hapless lizard. Iguanas are no slouch when it comes to defending themselves — they have a mouthful of teeth and can swat offenders with their formidable, scaly tail. However, it’s clear from the beginning that the reptile is no match for the much larger mammal.
