The conservative media seemed to have got hold of something big yesterday, with a few reporters claiming via Twitter that a massive story alleging sexual assault against special counsel Robert Mueller was about to be published Wednesday. For Donald Trump supporters, if the news was true, it may have meant serious undermining of the man who is at the helm of the Russia investigation, and it was not surprising that many Trump-supporting corners of the internet waited for the story with bated breath.
In principle, there is nothing wrong with a budget airline. You just have to be particular about where the budget cuts are coming from. For instance, it is okay to cut corners with the in-flight meal, but not with safety.
Budget airline Lion Air did the latter over a period of two decades. Business Insider has more on the story.
“Despite its grip on the market, Lion Air has been criticized in the past over poor operational management and safety measures, which led to its exclusion from operating in European airspace in 2007 because of safety concerns.
“That ban was lifted in June 2016.
“And on Sunday, just a day before the fatal crash, the same jet experienced technical issues with its altitude and airspeed readings, forcing the captain to hand over control to the first officer, according to logs obtained by the BBC.

A horrific and yet unseen video of Leicester City owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha’s helicopter crash, which claimed his life as well as that of four other people, has made its way online.
It is not clear who shot the video, but it was taken from the Leicester City ground soon after the helicopter took off. In the video, the owner’s helicopter can be seen taking off in the air, but seconds later, the engine seems to have failed, plunging it several hundred feet downward in a spiral. A groundsman can also be seen before the video ends abruptly.
The video was provided by the British tabloid The Sun to investigators.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is receiving backlash for her insensitive “I know they all look alike” remark, Chron reports.
During a Saturday interview with Recode executive editor Kara Swisher, Clinton asserted that it is “childish” to “paint with a broad brush; every immigrant is this, every African American is that,” while discussing alleged Democratic Party’s political correctness, but then – shocking Swisher and prompting the audience to uproariously laugh – made a controversial comment.
“What do you think of Corey Booker… what do you think about him saying ‘Kick them in the shins,’ essentially?” Swisher asked.
“Well, that was Eric Holder,” Clinton replied: “Yeah, I know they all look alike.”
Swisher’s question was in reference to former Attorney General of the United States Eric Holder’s comment about a “new Democratic Party,” divorced from political correctness.
Contradicting former First Lady Michelle Obama’s famous “When they go low, we go high” slogan, Holder said: “When they go low, we kick ’em.”
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is making a bold prediction that Democrats will take the House in this year’s mid-terms. While appearing on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, the California Democrat said that she believes that progressives will win not only the House, but have a chance at the Senate and multiple governorships around the country, according to Politico.
Pelosi, who hopes to make history by regaining the position of Speaker of the House, believes that Democrats will win enough elections to end the Republican hold on the government. But some, including host Stephen Colbert, worry that the politician’s celebratory attitude could be premature.
“Do you want to say that on Hillary’s fireworks barge that she canceled?” Colbert said. “Please don’t say that.”
Everyone says that there is someone in the world for someone else, but there are always those couples which make people be more judgmental than they should be. A woman named Amethyst Realm is in one of those relationships that some people may simply find too hard to believe. She actually claims to have had sex with at least 20 different ghosts and has now become engaged to a spirit.
Back in December, the NY Post reported that 30-year-old Amethyst Realm, who is from England, said that she had cheated on her then-fiance with numerous ghosts. She said they moved into a haunted home back in 2005 and that was when it all started.
“It started as an energy, then became physical. There was pressure on my thighs and breath on my neck. I just always felt safe. I had sex with the ghost. You can feel it. It’s difficult to explain.”
A number of Jewish organizations had called on Donald Trump not to visit the site of the deadly synagogue shooting by anti-Semite Robert Bowers which left 11 people dead on Saturday, but the president went anyway. As if to drive the point home, not a single elected Republican turned up by Trump’s side when he went to Pittsburgh on Tuesday amidst protest to commemorate the victims, reports Salon.
Deborah Cantwell, an Indiana woman who allegedly left a racist note on her neighbor’s door, is behind bars and facing misdemeanor hate crime charges, The Kokomo Tribune is reporting.
Earlier this month, an African American man — who asked not to be identified — said that he and his family, which includes their bi-racial son, decided to move into a home in the Indiana town of Greenwood. Though they hadn’t moved in yet, in the early-morning hours of October 13, the man decided to stop by the house on the way home from work to check it out. What he saw shocked him to his core.
The house had been toilet-papered, and a racist note was attached to the door.
“No N*****s wanted in this neighborhood-THIS IS A WHITE NEIGHBORHOOD-some people find N*****s Stressful… YOUR N****r KID IS NOT WELCOME… YOU CAN SELL YOUR HOUSE AND MAKE MONEY ON IT RIGHT NOW… BY THE WAY HOPE YOU HAVE DEEP POCKETS.”
A Missouri mother has filed a lawsuit after video emerged of teachers at her daycare allegedly operating what authorities call a “daycare fight club,” CBS News is reporting.
It’s been two years since the video was filmed, but Nicole Merseal says that she still has nightmares about the 2016 incident. At the time, her then ten-year-old son and her then four-year-old son were attending Adventure Learning Center in St. Louis.
As local Fox affiliate KTVI-TV reports, it was a cold December afternoon and the school’s heater had broken. For reasons that remain unclear, the lead teacher at the time — whose name has not been revealed — apparently decided that the best way to entertain the kids, and the staff, was to stage fights wherein small children repeatedly conked each other in the face and head.
Infamous Boston gangster James “Whitey” Bulger was found dead in a federal prison in West Virginia on Tuesday, and new reports suggest his death was a brutal murder ordered by the mob.
Sources told TMZ that Bulger’s alleged killers “brutally beat him with a lock in a sock and used a shiv to try and gouge his eyes out,” while also attempting to cut out his tongue. Such signs are usually linked to a mob hit, and prison officials said it was essentially retaliation because the 89-year-old was “considered a rat and an informant who helped put away several members of the mob.”
According to the BBC, Bulger was killed just hours after arriving at the USP Hazelton prison, which houses 1,385 inmates, where he had just been transferred to. He had previously been incarcerated at a Florida jail where he was moved to in 2014 from another prison in Arizona. Bulger, who was convicted in 2013 of 11 murders, was serving a life sentence.
Rupert Murdoch’s conservative news outlet Fox News is under serious fire for reportedly peddling a conspiracy theory which inspired anti-Semite Robert Bowers to take the lives of 11 people at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh on Saturday, according to a report from Think Progress.
As reported by The Atlantic, Fox News anchors have repeatedly characterized the influx of Central Americans fleeing to the United States as an “invasion” of the country by foreigners. Most of the people in the roughly 7,000-strong caravan are likely Hondurans escaping from crime partly instigated by the U.S.-sanctioned military coup back in 2009 but despite this, Fox News anchors have made no attempts to get into the specifics. Instead, they continued to push the theory that these immigrants were somehow being financed by Democrats in the United States, namely billionaire George Soros, who intended to hurt the country by getting the caravan across the border.
The Satanic Temple is suing Netflix’s The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina for appropriating its monument design. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the dark series may have made fans with its evil revival of the Archie comic strip, but Satanists are not amused. According to Lucien Greaves, social activist and co-founder of the Temple, a statue of Baphomet that appears in the series is far too similar to the copyrighted one used by the religion.
Greaves tweeted on Sunday that the Satanic Temple is taking legal action against the show for using their design to “promote their asinine Satanic Panic fiction.” In the series, a Baphomet statue appears in the magical school known as the Academy Of Unseen Arts. The Temple is moving forward with the action, according to Greaves, because they want to send a message to others who might appropriate the imagery used by the Satanic Temple, and because “that’s how copyright works.”
Humanity has caused major destruction for many different animal populations, People is reporting. 59 scientists contributed to a study conducted by the World Wildlife Federation (WWF) entitled “Our Living Planet Report 2018.” What the scientists found was shocking. 60 percent of animal life — including birds, fish, mammals, and reptiles — has been made extinct since the year 1970. The culprit of this mass extinction? Human civilization.
Due to humanity’s use of food and resources, scientists say that the “web of life” that nature initially developed is now being destroyed. Messing with the web of life results in degradation of the necessary components to life — such as water and clean air — the scientists say. Mike Barrett, executive director of science and conservation at WWF, put the findings in perspective, so that the public can get a better understanding of the damage that has been done.
The death of notorious Boston mobster Whitey Bulger came as good news to at least one family.
Bulger was convicted in 2013 of taking part in the murder of Michael Donohue, an innocent man who unknowingly gave a ride to another mobster who had tried to turn Bulger into police — a man who was marked for death. Bulger’s crew ambushed the car, Boston.com noted, killing the target and Donohue as well.
Now, after the 89-year-old Bulger was beaten to death in prison — allegedly by other mobsters who were angry at how he turned on them — Donohue’s family is celebrating. His widow, Patricia, said the news brought relief as the family was resigned to the thought that he would live out his days in prison and die naturally.
Katy Perry was one of the few who didn’t fall for Justin Bieber’s burrito eating prank, according to reports from E! Online.
Last week Bieber went viral after a photo leaked of the pop singer eating a burrito from the middle was posted on Reddit. The photo garnered a massive amount of debate, with some even suggesting that Bieber’s style of eating was influenced by his upbringing in Canada, where burritos were likely to be scarce, while others commended Bieber in his constant quest to be a trendsetter and expressed interest in trying out the new style of eating.
Your honeymoon should be a vacation that evokes warm memories. However, for a 36-year-old woman from Tampa, Florida, memories of her honeymoon will likely be forever overshadowed thanks to an uninvited visitor.
According to WFLA, the woman honeymooned in Belize, a country in Central America that borders Guatemala, earlier in the year. She returned from her trip with what she suspected was a rash in her groin. However, when the lesion associated with the rash never cleared up, she decided to seek medical attention.
The Tampa Bay Times reports that the woman, who hasn’t been named, ended up at Tampa General Hospital two months after her honeymoon trip. The patient suspected she had been bitten by something, perhaps even a tick, as she had found one on her back after horseriding in Belize.
Mystery still surrounds the deaths of Saudi Arabian sisters, Tala Farea, 16, and Rotana Farea, 22, who were discovered in the Hudson River last week, duct-taped together. However, authorities are now looking into a phone call their mother received from the Saudi embassy prior to their deaths.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the sisters were found on a rocky area of the Hudson River in New York City. It is believed that the women died in the river and later washed up on shore. They had last been seen in Virginia on August 24.
The New York Police Department has now released images of the Farea sisters and are urging witnesses to step forward. They are also asking for any information on the sisters to help with their investigations.
It has been learned that congressman out of Texas Beto O’Rourke was among the dozen-plus lawmakers detested and targeted by suspected mail bomber Cesar Sayoc, according to a complaint that had been filed with the FBI months prior to last week’s near-catastrophic developments.
On Wednesday, October 31, the Dallas Morning News reported that O’Rourke’s campaign alerted authorities early in the summer about troubling messages the senatorial candidate had received from Sayoc on social media as early as the springtime. “We received a threat via Facebook from that individual in April, a threat toward Beto, and we immediately reported it to the [U.S.] Capitol police,” the O’Rourke campaign’s communications director, Chris Evans, told the press. “Then we turned over the message and the information and the threat to the FBI in July.”
A 53-year-old has survived six days in rough terrain in Arizona after she lost control of her vehicle on October 12. Her car careened off the road and then became lodged in a tree. Unable to travel due to her weakened state, the woman stayed close to her vehicle while she waited patiently for help to arrive.
The woman had apparently been driving on U.S. Route 60 near Wickenburg, which is approximately 65 miles northwest of Phoenix, according to Fox News. After losing control of her vehicle, the car smashed through a fence and dropped 50 feet before becoming stuck in a mesquite tree. And, there it stayed for six days until the Department of Transportation workers came to the rescue.
JennaRae Goodbar was trying to stop her dog from running into traffic when a car struck them, killing them both.
Now, the 12-year-old girl will be buried alongside her beloved pet, as family members say the pair were inseparable during their lives. As WTKR reported, the Virginia girl was trying to stop her dog from running into a busy road when they were both struck by a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu. The car happened to be driven by a friend of the family, who tried to swerve to avoid the girl and her dog.
As the WTKR report noted, JennaRae loved the dog and had saved up her own money to adopt him. She was training the dog at the time he ran out into the road.
“That dog was very special to her, because she trained it and raised it herself,” family friend Alexis Cash told WDBJ.
