Former Trump Aide Jason Miller has left the CNN network in the wake of allegations that he induced an abortion in a woman he had impregnated. The Daily Beast reports that Miller issued a statement Saturday in which he said he had “decided to step away from his role” as a paid political commentator. Miller tweeted the announcement Saturday evening.

“I have decided to step away from my role as a Political Commentator at CNN to focus on clearing my name and fighting the false and defamatory accusations being made against me. To be clear, none of this is in any way true. That doesn’t matter however in the current court of public opinion, where fraudulent statements and a lack of factual support rule the day as long as it fits into a tweet.”

A representative for the news network confirmed his departure. Miller has denied the allegations that came to light Friday with the publication of court documents.

PETA decided to poke fun at Donald Trump Jr.’s love for hunting by unveiling a Halloween costume of him. It showed a white male (who looks nothing like Donald Jr.) with a red hat that said “Donald Trump Jr.” in “scary” font. The man has bloody scratches on his face, neck, and chest, as a leopard is mauling him from behind. He’s also holding a gun, wearing a cameo-hunting outfit, and has a name-tag on the front left that says, “Half-Cocked.”

This didn’t go over too well with Donald Jr., as he slammed PETA for their high euthanization rates. This is what he said on Twitter.

“Ironically, there are few orgs in world history that have as much animal blood on their hands as PETA. You hypocrites are literally an animal slaughter factory…. In the last 11 years, PETA has killed 29,426 dogs, cats, rabbits, & other domestic animals.”

The Penderlea Fire Department in North Carolina added a strange chore to their clean up list after the floodwaters left in Hurricane Florence’s wake receded: cleaning thousands of dead fish off of the asphalt of Interstate 40. The unfortunate creatures found themselves displaced along the Carolina thoroughfare after storm surges and water from flooded rivers brought the shoals, which is their natural habitat, inland.

Recently, the North Carolina fire department had been deployed to distribute much-needed supplies to local residents in the aftermath of Hurricane Florence. Later, they were assigned to clean up the fishy situation, and on Saturday they posted photos and videos of the team attempting to remove a large number of fish that were scattered to and fro along the road.

Parents across the country entrust school bus drivers to get their kids to school and home safely. That changed Friday, when an Indiana school bus driver was caught on camera allowing three students to take turns driving her school bus, police say. Fox News reported on Sunday that Joandrea McAtee was arrested for allegedly allowing an 11-year-old, 13-year-old, and 17-year-old take the wheel on their Valparaiso, Indiana, school bus. A video on Twitter allegedly shows part of the event in action.

“Don’t tell any other adults about this. Okay, first what you gotta do, put your foot on the brake,” the woman in the video says, as she hunches over a female child in the driver’s seat of the bus. The woman speaking in the video wears a yellow vest, typical of school bus drivers, and fits the description of the arrested woman.

Fox News viewers are having “meltdowns” on Twitter over the network’s very own poll, Raw Story reports.

“Liberal bullsh*t,” “fake news,” and “fake poll,” commented dozens of Fox News viewers, seemingly deeply offended by the poll’s findings.

Famously conservative and pro-Trump Fox News published a poll pertaining to President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, and Christine Blasey Ford, who claims Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her in 1982. According to the poll, Americans believe Ford over Kavanaugh.

Thirty-six percent believe Ford, and 30 percent believe Kavanaugh. Thirty-four percent are unsure about who is telling the truth.

Similarly, 40 percent of voters would confirm Brett Kavanaugh, and 50 percent would not. Women, and those with college degrees are more likely to believe Ford. Most Republicans, however, support his confirmation.

According to NBC News, the charges come after Shortey was arrested in March, 2017, when police found the former senator in a Super 8 motel room with a then 17-year-old boy, after police received a tip from the boy’s father. When they arrived, police said the room smelled like marijuana; they also found an open box of condoms in the teen’s bag, and they accused Shortey of hiring the boy for sex. When asked about the incident by police, he claimed he was at the hotel to “hang out with his friend.”

A nine-year-old Dachshund with cancer received a 3D-printed titanium skull cap from Ontario veterinary researchers. The Dachshund’s cancer treatment is being heralded as a breakthrough in veterinary medicine.

The Dachshund, named Patches, had a brain tumor that threatened to grow right through her skull. CTV News compared the tumor to the size of an orange stating that its continued growth could have cost Patches her life. The brain tumor resulted in deformity in the Dachshund’s head, Danielle Dymeck–Patches’ owner–reported.

“We called her our little unicorn because she had this bump on her head, but it would have killed her. It’s pretty amazing what they did for my girl.”

Anthony Helinski, a 34-year-old Massachusetts middle school teacher employed by Andover Public Schools, has been charged with two counts of criminal trespassing, three counts of criminal theft, and endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly putting his toddler into a mall claw game machine to steal toys. As the New York Post reported, the crime took place at the Mall of Rockingham Park in Salem on September 14. A witness recorded the incident on their cell phone, and police issued the video on Facebook in an attempt to identify the suspect, an attempt that seemingly worked.

The cell phone footage reveals the thief giving instructions to the young toddler on how to maneuver herself inside the machine, and then he gives the stolen goods to a young boy after the young girl tosses the toys out of the machine. Video game systems are among the merchandise that were stolen.

According to Canna-Pet, age is a contributing factor to cancer in dogs. Cancer is a leading cause of death for canines over the age of 2. However, age is not the only contributing factor. WebMD notes that some breeds may have a genetic disposition to cancer when compared to others.

Michael Avenatti, the attorney who represents Stormy Daniels, claims that he has a client with alleged “credible information” that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, and his friend, Mark Judge, targeted women for gang rape at house parties during the 1980s.

On Sunday, Avenatti tweeted a screenshot of an email exchange with Mike Davis, the Chief Counsel For Nominations at the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary. In the email, the attorney says that he has knowledge of evidence that Kavanaugh and Judge targeted “women with alcohol and drugs in order to allow a ‘train’ of men to subsequently gang rape them.”

Avenatti’s email also asserts that there are multiple witnesses who can offer testimony to back up these claims. He called on Davis to bring these witnesses in to “testify publicly” and offered a list of six questions that they should be asked.

Police couldn’t catch a robbery suspect who fled into a cornfield in Wisconsin, but the mosquitoes were up to the task.

Officers pursued a pair of robbery suspects accused of stealing three bottles of Jägermeister in the town of Cambellsport, with one of the suspects taking them on a high-speed chase that ended near a cornfield. Police said that John Wilson, who they claim was supposed to be the getaway driver for the robbery, fled when the store owner chased the other suspect out of the store. After three miles, Wilson parked the getaway car and ran into a cornfield, police said.

He didn’t last long, ABC 7 Chicago reported. After an hour in the field that was swarmed with mosquitoes, Wilson put his hands up and surrendered himself to police.

He also asked officers to help give him some relief from the insects.

A Comerica Park employee was caught on video allegedly spitting on a customer’s pizza, and he told a co-worker that he did so because he was having a “bad day.”

As The Detroit Free Press reports, Quinell May, 17, says that he witnessed another employee — later identified by WXYZ-TV in Detroit as Jaylon Kerley — allegedly spitting on a pizza after putting the sauce on it. May was aghast, and he whipped out his cell phone to record it.

“I asked him, ‘Are you serious about that? Like is he really gonna spit in a customer’s pizza?’ So I pulled out my phone to have proof, just in case he did it.”

May says that Kerley told him that he had done it in the past, too. May later posted the video to Instagram.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, whom political experts expected to be fired or to resign on Monday as Inquisitr reported, still appears to have his job after meeting at the White House Monday with Donald Trump’s Chief of Staff John Kelly. But reports over what happened in Rosenstein’s Monday morning meeting with Kelly remain conflicted, with at least one news agency saying that Rosenstein did, in fact, give Kelly his resignation.

According to a Bloomberg News report, Rosenstein “verbally resigned to [Kelly], according to one person familiar with the matter.”

But a report from CNN was less clear, saying only that “Rosenstein met with chief of staff John Kelly and spoke with Trump, who is in New York.”

The Dallas police officer involved in the deadly shooting of Botham Shem Jean on September 6th has now been fired. Amber Guyger had been with the Dallas, Texas, police department for four years. She was officially fired on Monday.

The Star-Telegram details that Dallas Police Chief Renee Hall had previously indicated that Amber Guyger would not be fired in the wake of the shooting that left Botham Shem Jean dead in his apartment. An internal affairs investigation has reportedly led to the firing, after Guyger was found to have engaged in adverse conduct when she was arrested for manslaughter.

The announcement was shared via the Dallas Police Department’s Twitter page and it notes that Guyger was terminated during a hearing held on Monday. She reportedly can appeal the decision. After the incident, Guyger posted bail and was on leave pending an investigation.

Maddox Ritch — a 6-year-old boy with autism — went missing at a North Carolina park on Saturday, Fox News reports.

Ritch was last seen at Rankin Lake Park on Saturday at 1 p.m. said the Gastonia Police Department. Gastonia is 20 miles west of Charlotte.

While at the park, Ritch was walking with his father and two other adults along the lake. He then suddenly ran off at such a speed that he was soon out of sight of the three adults. The trio immediately searched for Ritch, though after failing to find him quickly, they immediately called the police.

Since that time, police have been immediately following up on the case, having searched 1,400 acres in the area using both a helicopter and boat — both on loan from authorities in Charlotte.

A motorist had the shock of his life when he was saw a baby crawling across the busy Joe Parker Road in Lakewood, New Jersey, on Saturday evening. Authorities say that the baby was safely returned to its parents as soon as the motorist, Cory Cannon of Eatontown, stopped his car and hurried out to rescue the baby, the Asbury Park Press reported. A neighbor also rushed to the scene and recovered the unharmed baby from the road.

The incident took place at around 5 p.m. when Cannon, 41, was driving to work and suddenly saw the baby on the road. He initially thought the baby was “a toy or something until she moved”, after which he quickly got out of his car to stop the oncoming traffic.

He took a picture of the baby and immediately informed Lakewood police. The controversial picture, which Cannon posted to Facebook, went viral and invited shock and dismay from commentators, who blamed the parents for negligence and carelessness.
